Our History

POITRA Visual was established in 1996 as a professional design communication company providing support for planning and design processes, public involvement, public relations and business development efforts.

The Principals at POITRA Visual have worked within the engineering and architectural communities since 1980.

Our experience is in providing full service visualization for design and architectural companies and includes 3d modeling, animation, photosimulation, hand drawn illustration, graphic design and layout, presentation design, video scripting and production, multimedia and website development.

From its establishment, POITRA Visual invested in the development of a 3d model catalogue. The POITRA Visual 3D Model Catalogue was published online in January 2001. Its development is a result of our more creative side as well as our personal interests in history, architecture and antiquities.

We currently provide visualization and simulation services and custom 3d modeling while we continue to add to our stock 3d model catalogue. Our 3d models have been purchased for educational multimedia, historical documentaries, motion pictures and movies, tv commercials, architectural & engineering visualization, product research, archeological recreation, commercial advertising, and digital computer games.

We Know Engineering & Architecture

Do you need us to read an interchange plan? Understand the components of a steel through girder bridge? How about a realistic catenary system or ADA standards on a pedestrian facility? We do.

We are experienced and knowledgeable in design standards for bridges, highways, heavy and light rail, facilities, and architecture; construction methods and practices; and the related NEPA environmental and public processes.

You and your staff will spend less time and money explaining the basics. We can read and understand your design plans—whether they are conceptual or final—and can draw upon many years of practical experience on transportation and public works projects.

The principals at POITRA Visual have been working in the Engineering and Architectural Design field for 35 years and POITRA Visual was formed and has been providing its services to Architects, Engineers, Planners, Developers, and Public Relations experts since 1996.

We are Skilled Artists

In addition to a very strong background in engineering and architecture, we are, above all, highly skilled artists. We possess real artistic talent coupled with the necessary computer software expertise that allows us to tackle every facet related to the visualization of your project in a technically accurate and realistic manner.

At POITRA Visual we have high caliber artists who are both interested in and experienced in the engineering, transportation, and architectural fields.

We Work Remotely

POITRA Visual’s experience and expertise makes it possible for us to work remotely and provide services to our clients anywhere in the United States. Exchange of Information, Reviews, and Deliverables are managed digitally through e-mail and a password protected online client area.

Experience in Diverse Industries

You and your staff will not waste time and money explaining the basics of your particular industry to POITRA. Through experience, the experts at POITRA have a working knowledge of a broad range of industries and know the important questions to ask. POITRA is also able to do the research needed to familiarize ourselves in new areas and learn new industries quickly.

Projects Large & Small

No project is too large or too small. At POITRA its really true. We have illustrated projects ranging from single cell phone antennas to an entire series of interchanges along I-5 in California. POITRA is as happy to help with your small projects and make them truly affordable and we can apply the same cost reducing ideas to your larger projects as well. You can be assured that all images delivered by POITRA receive the same expert high quality attention.

What We Provide

We provide 3d and photo-realistic visual simulations that bring your concept to life and we can bundle the visuals in a print-ready format (brochure, newsletter, handout, or presentation board), provide an on-screen presentation (Flash multimedia, HTML, PDF, or PPT format). We can also develop a website for your project as a sales tool or for community interaction and feedback. POITRA Visual has provided these services for major transportation and public involvement projects.

We Deliver

A picture is worth a thousand words. That old adage is never more true than when your project stalls because of negative public perception. We have found that negative perception is very often based upon the unknown. Design plans are confusing to the public—visualization provides a clear and accurate illustration of your project within the setting of the local community, long before anyone is given a thumbs up to turn that first shovel. We understand that you are not always in control of your schedule—we make your emergencies our emergencies.
