POITRA photograpers shot a view similar to an earlier simulation but included a portion of the roadway. The terminal is visible in the background and airport security was again our guides. The Engineer selected the final base photograph.

Poitra provided expertly-done photo simulations, and sometimes under tight time constraints, which were instrumental in conveying project concepts to our audiences. ”

POITRA modelers created a 3D site model that included the EMU catenary system, a double mainline track with concrete ties and gravel roadbed, right-of-way fencing, signage and the EMU vehicles.
The proposed vehicle had not yet been manufactured and existed only as a POITRA custom 3D model.
The site model was camera matched, lighted, rendered and composited with the base photograph. Traditional digital painting methods were used to finish the photo-simulation.
Care was taken to create the images in such a way that the corridor could be pictured with and without the EMU vehicles being present.
The finished simulations were used in meetings with the City and County of Denver, Denver International Airport Authorities, Fastracks public stakeholders and also in the EIS document.
