POITRA Visual provides visual simulation for rail projects in any phase from conceptual through final design. We are experienced in transportation projects including light and heavy rail and the issues associated with design, agency coordination, and community and system integration.
Our expertise is in not only the visualization and presentation of a proposed overall design but in the phases of project development including design alternatives, visual impacts, mitigation processes, and community and agency relations. We provide the 3d or photo-realistic visuals that bring the concept to life and we can bundle the visuals in a print-ready format (brochure, newsletter, handout or presentation board), provide an on-screen presentation (flash multimedia, html, pdf or ppt format), and we can develop a public information website for your project for community interaction and feedback.
DESCRIPTION: POITRA Visual was contracted to provide a public friendly illustrative presentation for Union Pacific's proposed 1500 acre Rail-served Industrial development in San Antonio, Texas. A 300 acre intermodal facility was photo realistically superimposed onto exiting site aerial photography using preliminary design plans and property surveys. With our engineering background and experience we were also able to provide a practical concept level design for the adjoining Industrial Park long before the actual engineering could take place. The concept was used by Union Pacific Railroad to assist in moving the project to the next level of public concensus building and partnering efforts without waiting through a long design delay.
