Creation of a Reservoir               3D Model Animation (4.44mb .avi file)

A WCS 3d environment was developed to illustrate the creation of a new mountain reservoir. The terrain, a USGS Digital Elevation Model (DEM), was imported into World Construction Set (WCS) where it was

textured with an appropriate and realistic ecosystem. The ecosystem is a photorealistic representation and has the dynamic capacity to change as parameters are changed - as water rises in the newly forming reservoir, the trees are stipped back and the water becomes clear and blue. Overhead, shadow casting clouds stream by at time lapse speed.
